Programme Development Goal

To reduce the abject levels of poverty and sufferings of people in groups and individual homes

Goals achieved by

  1. Diversifying farmers’ income,
  2. Promoting farming as a business and advocating for better market linkages for the farmers through improved farming systems

The second component of the project involved equipping 30 vulnerable members of the supported groups with vocational skills which will allow them to diversify their livelihoods with non-agricultural income.

Summary

Food and Income Security for Households (FISH) was a 2 years (2016-2017) project implemented by Caritas Nebbi-Nebbi Catholic Diocese with support from Caritas Belgium in the two sub counties of Zeu and Kango in Zombo district, West Nile subregion, Northern Uganda. The project worked with 15 groups targeting the youth, the elderly men and women
