Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM) Uganda works to improve the livelihoods of small- scale farmers and the sustainability of rural communities, through fostering of ecological land use management. PELUM Uganda shares skills and knowledge about good practices and techniques through a broad network of like-minded organizations; undertakes research and demonstration projects and advocates for policies that better support small scale farmers

Founded in 1995, PELUM Uganda is part of a twelve country’s strong association of civil societies organization in eastern, central and southern Africa. These are Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Swaziland, Lesotho, Botswana and South Africa. Caritas Nebbi is a member organization of PELUM Uganda through which they partner, collaborate and share information.
