We stand as a beacon of hope and love for communities facing immense challenges in Nebbi District. As the social service and community development arm of Nebbi Catholic Diocese, we are dedicated to empowering the poor, vulnerable and marginalized in Nebbi, Zombo and Pakwach districts.
Guided by a vision of human dignity, justice, peace and solidarity for all, we implement life-changing programs in agriculture, microfinance, gender equality, capacity building and more.
In the agriculture sector, we provide critical resources to boost productivity and food security. Seeds, tools, livestock, training and other inputs help subsistence farmers and pastoralists maximize yields and earn income. Sustainable practices like conservation farming and agroforestry are promoted to conserve soils and environment.
To unleash entrepreneurship and self-reliance, we facilitate access to microloans, savings, insurance and livelihood skills training. Thousands of women, youth, refugees and persons with disabilities have received a hand up to start small businesses in farming, retail, handicrafts and more. The capital injection and financial literacy empower them to achieve economic independence.
Protecting the rights of vulnerable groups is also central to our mission. Through advocacy campaigns and community organizing, we raise awareness on gender equality, child protection and inclusion of those with disabilities. Initiatives like girls’ education, maternal health and HIV/AIDS prevention give voice to the voiceless.
Strengthening the abilities of local leaders, groups and agencies ensures lasting impact. we build capacity in project management, resource mobilization and other critical skill sets. Collaboration and knowledge sharing with parishes, government and civil society magnifies the development outcomes.
The real evidence of our meaningful work is in the testimonies of lives changed.
Alice Auma, a widow and mother of five from Nyaravur, received a small loan to launch a poultry business. Her flock now provides vital income for school fees, loan repayment and household needs.
James Okello, a 19-year-old youth group member in Paidha, gained business training and startup materials from us to launch a profitable paper bag enterprise. He proudly contributes to his family and saves for the future.
A survivor of sexual violence, Sarah Ayenyo found refuge, counseling and vocational training with us after years of hardship. Now a tailor and business owner, she can support her daughter and regain dignity.
These uplifting stories of resilience illustrate our profound impact, yet immense challenges remain. With limited resources and overwhelming needs in the region, we rely on the compassion of donors and partners to continue its critical work.
Support us by donating, volunteering or spreading the word. Your generosity will go directly to enabling healthy, just communities where all people can thrive with dignity. Together, we can build a Nebbi District filled with hope and opportunity for all.
